Next was the start of the Christmas tree farm season. Eric and I both worked on the farm to help out his Aunt and Uncle and to earn some extra money. I ran the cash register and decorated wreaths and Eric worked outside running the chain saw and netting up trees. It definitely took away from our weekends, but we enjoyed it.We also went to my work Christmas party. We had a white elephant gift exchange and we ate really fancy, yummy food at the top floor of the Hilton in Seattle. That part of the party was awesome on it's own, but then we all went to the play, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It was amazing and we absolutely loved it! I haven't seen the movie in years, but I'm really excited to watch it again.
Eric and I also decorated our first Gingerbread House for a work competition. Everyone at the office made one and the patients vote on them. I'm pretty sure we aren't going to win, but we were really proud of our house. Our theme was snowmen having a snowball fight. We thought it was really cute.

A little over a week before Christmas we started to get the first snowfall of the area. It hasn't stopped snowing since! Growing up in New York, I wasn't really worried about it, but then I realized that they aren't used to getting this much snow in Seattle, so they weren't prepared for it. They barely have enough plows to keep up with plowing the main roads so the side streets and parking lots have no help whatsoever. We lucked out because we bought a new car a couple months ago and it has AWD, so we were able to get through without any major problems. However, everyone else seems to either get stuck constantly or they just stay at home and never leave. It is gorgeous outside with all of the snow, but it's getting frustrating to get around town. We definitely had a white Christmas though!

Now Eric's family is in town and we have been having fun spending time with them. We got to meet our new nephew, Luca, and he is so adorable! It's been cute watching all 4 of our nieces and nephews play together and open their presents from Santa.

Sorry about the long post! I think one of our new year's resolutions will be to keep our blog updated! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Awww, what a great Christmas! I can't believe all that snow. The pictures from your sister's visit are great too, and your gingerbread house is perfect...I'd definitely vote it as the best!
