Birthday Surprise!!

My birthday was on Saturday and Eric surprised me by taking me to Leavenworth. It was the perfect trip because I have been missing home a lot and we got to see all of the pretty fall leaves as we went up the mountain. For those of you who don't know about Leavenworth, it is a little German town up in the mountains. They have all of the cute little shops and lots of yummy Bavarian food. Since it is October, they were celebrating Octoberfest! We saw a little parade, ate brats, shared a piece of beesting cake (so yummy!), ate gelato and brought home truffles. I guess we pretty much go there for the food... We had a lot of fun walking around all of the little shops too. Before we left, we got to watch a yodeling band too! It was a great Birthday surprise! Thanks Hubby!
