So, I have a lot of recipes that need a good crock-pot in order for them to be made. I got one as a wedding gift, but it doesn't work properly. I have tried it on multiple occasions, but it burns everything in it. It will cook things on low in only an hour or two, but I don't think that is very safe. I've started researching which crock-pots have the best reviews, but I haven't come across one that I am convinced is the best yet. The only thing I am sure of, is that I get one with a timer so I can leave it all day when I'm at work. Do any of you have a crock-pot that works perfectly for you? Which one is it?

Mine's not fancy with a timer and stuff but we do like it. It is a Rival. Also, the Hamilton Beach 33967 Set 'n Fortget is highly rated on Amazon.com. At comsumerreports.org the All Clad 99005 was rated highest with the Rival Crock-pot SCVC604H-ss the next highest and marked as a 'best buy'. The next highest was the Hamilton Beach Set 'n Forget and marked a 'recommended'.
Hope that helps. Let us know how things work out.
We have the Rival Smart Pot. It works really well for us. It has a timer. We like it.
Love crock pots! You'll have to share your recipes!
(hope this isn't a duplicate... looks like my other comment didn't save) My #1 most important thing when I bought my crockpot was that the inside pot pulls out and can fit in the dishwasher. Most important to me! My old, old one didn't and it was a pain to wash by hand. I have a Rival and have never had a problem with it. Don't have a timer but can't think when I've missed that. Dishwasher and size, think about those!
excuse me how do you set the picture as your blog template....? :p
i have a rival too! it works great
