August has been a super busy month for us. We have had a lot of visitors, so we have lots of pictures!
Our next exciting adventure was Island Park, Idaho. Eric's Aunt's family decided to do a last minute family reunion and they invited us to join them. Luckily, Steven and Heather were willing to drive at night with us, so we were able to drive while Mia slept. It was great having them as company for such a long road trip! Once we were there, we had a blast hanging out in the sun, 4-wheeling, rafting, spending time with family and playing games. It was so nice to get away and go somewhere warm for a few days.
While we were at Island Park, we drove down to Yosemite for a day. I had been there when I was younger, but I didn't remember anything except for Old Faithful. It was actually a really neat park and next time I think we'll try to plan to be there for more time.
Shortly after our Island Park trip, I was sitting at home, feeding Mia and there was a knock at the door. I answered it and it was Keri and Jeremy!!! They had been planning a surprise visit for couple months and we had a blast. I still can't believe that they came! We had a lot of fun though and Mia really enjoyed all of the extra attention. Lexi loved Jeremy and was very sad after he left. We were able to show Keri and Jeremy what a fun city Seattle is too. Maybe they will move here one day??!! ;) It was a great surprise! Thanks for coming all of the way here!
It was kind of funny that Keri and Jeremy came when they did because I was in the middle of planning a surprise party for Eric. He turned the big 3-0 this year and was kind of nervous. I wanted to try and make it fun for him and it worked! I was so proud of myself. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures yet of the party, but he was definitely surprised. I totally caught him off-guard and he was a little confused for the first few minutes. It was funny watching him try to process what was going on. Happy Birthday Hubby! We love you!
I guess the next visitor actually came at the beginning of September. Mia got a visit from her Grandpa Peyton, Paula and the boys. We had a lot of fun with everyone and got to spend time in Seattle and at one of the many parks in the area. The guys would probably say the best part was their trip to Fry's. I think it's a good thing us girls skipped out on that one! We had fun shopping instead of looking at computer stuff. I think they came on the best weekend of the summer because it was actually warm. Thanks for the fun visit!
