Life Update

Utah Trip

We had a blast when we were in Utah! We picked the best weekend to go because it snowed the entire weekend! Both of the days we went skiing/snowboarding were awesome and we had lots of fresh powder to play in. We already miss all the snow! Here is a picture of one of the mountains we got to ski/snowboard on.

We did have an interesting experience when we pulled up to the Brighton Ski Resort. We pulled into the spot we were directed to and we started getting into our snow gear. We soon realize that the girls in the cars on both sides of us were together. They kept laughing and talking back and forth and then they started saying things such as: "I can't find my bra..." "Do you have your panties...? Do you need to wear mine...?" "I have some extras if you need one..." "I don't think mine are big enough..." Meanwhile, I'm trying as hard as I can to not laugh and Eric is back at the trunk looking terrified to look anywhere other than inside of the car. We quickly get the rest of our snow stuff on and get ready to leave. I look over at the group of girls and see them dressed up in their snow gear with huge bras and panties on top. They even had capes to match! We start to walk away and start laughing. I turned to Eric and told him we had to go back and get a picture. His only response was..."Do I have to take the picture?" Of course the answer was yes and he went back with me to ask for one. I asked the girls if this was something they did regularly and they explained that it was a batchlorette party. One of them was getting married the next day. We saw them a couple of times on the ski hill and they certainly were making everyone laugh. Eric and I definitely thought it was a funny story.

Not only did we have a great time skiing, but we also had fun with friends and family. We stayed with Eric's Dad and his wife and we got to meet her boys. It was fun being with them. We even got to hit one of BYU's famous parties at the Wilk! It brought back lots of fun memories. It was great seeing friends again too!

Valentine's Day

We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at home. We had a fondue night and it was sooo good. We did a cheese and a chocolate fondue and we both thought the cheese fondue was the best. If anyone needs a good cheese fondue recipe, let me know because I have the best one! It was a huge success and we will probably do it again next year for Valentine's Day.

Other Things

Eric just finished another quarter at UW and we are really excited because it means he only has another 4 quarters to go. Yay! He is still doing an accounting internship part-time for the Spring quarter and he is applying for internships for the summer. If anyone knows of any accounting internships for the summer, let us know!

The rest of life seems to be going the same as always. I'm still working at the Orthopedic clinic and trying to get the new Electronic Medical Record program they bought up and running. I had no idea how intense of a project it would be. There seems to be one problem after another, but we're still making lots of progress so I can't complain.

No way! I can't believe those girls I would have been dying laughing at them! I'm so glad that you went back and took a picture, that will be something to laugh at for years to come! What a great valentines day, and I totally need to email you about that recipe. I love fondue but have never made it myself, seems tricky but I'm hoping its not! Thanks for the update, I've missed your posts :)

Sounds like so much fun, Kristina! We haven't been to Utah since we got married. Hope you're having an excellent time in Seattle!
