Local Vacation

I used up the last of my vacation days during Eric's week off school in March and we found some fun things to do in the area. We borrowed bikes from Eric's Aunt and Uncle and took a bike ride around Lake Washington. The sun was actually out and we were able to enjoy the nice weather. The bike path followed the lake and there were some really pretty views. Unfortunately the camera battery was dead, so we didn't get any pictures. :(

We also drove up North along Chuckanut Drive and spent some time in a little town called Fairhaven. Chuckanut Drive runs along the Pacific Ocean and there were so many pretty views. We had fun stopping at all of the little lookouts.
Chuckanut Drive ends up in Fairhaven, which is a cute little town with an 1880's theme. I think Eric's favorite part of Fairhaven was the restaurant in a bus that looked like the bus from Harry Potter. There were some neat shops in Fairhaven that we looked at and we ate lunch at a Thai restaurant. We also got gelato and decided that Hazelnut gelato is probably one of our favorites.

We found a short hike about 30 mins away from us that was called Coal Creek Falls. We hiked up it and discovered a big waterfall. It was actually really nice because there was no one else on the hike. We had fun hiking and talking and then all of the sudden this waterfall appeared out of no where! It was actually really cool. I wish we hadn't forgotten the camera because it would have been a really cool picture opportunity!
