So, the most exciting thing in our lives right now is still Lexi. However, we do have a few exciting things to look forward to. Eric is finishing his last semester and will be a college graduate in less than 3 weeks. Yay!!! We can't wait! Then he will study hard in his CPA review course, which lasts through November. I feel kind of bad for him because he finally graduates and then he still has classes and exams to study for.
Also, Eric's family is all coming up to Washington for his cousin's wedding, his graduation and a family reunion. We are so excited to see them all and for them to meet Lexi. I know we are a little bit biased, but she really is a very cute puppy! When people see us on walks with her, they like to tell us how cute and little she is. We have had so much fun with her.
Here are some more pictures so you can see what she's been up to.
Lexi is definitely still small for a boxer, but I still think she is getting big for a puppy! Here are two pictures for comparison. The first one is from the first day we brought her home. It's a little blurry, but you can get an idea of her size.

This one is from a week ago, so she was 14 weeks old. Basically, she is growing taller and longer, but not wider. I promise we feed her, she just keeps getting skinnier and skinnier. The vet actually told us of a good trick last Friday. He said to add just a little bit of water to her food and since we've started that, she has been eating absolutely every piece we put in her bowl.

Playing with me.

Napping with Eric.

Playing with Eric. Aren't they cute?

Stretching. Yes, she is completely flat on the floor and stretched out to the max.

We have been attending a puppy class with Lexi for the past couple of weeks. When we signed up, I didn't really think we were going to get much out of it because we had already taught Lexi how to sit, lay down, shake, roll over, etc. However, we still have learned a ton from the class and every time we go we realize how glad we are that we signed up for it. One of the best things about it for Lexi was that she got to play with other puppies and get used to being around other dogs. The first week we took her, she was scared of the other dogs. Most of the other dogs were quite a bit bigger than her, even though most of them are the same age. However, after a couple of times, she started running around all over the place with all of the other dogs. Two weeks ago, they did a lesson on the "come" command and she did awesome! As soon as we called her name or used the high pitch call they recommended, she would come running as fast as she could right to our side. Pretty soon, she started jumping to get the treat we were holding out in our hand. Eric caught her in mid-air in this one. She is so smart! It has been so much fun training her.

Today, Lexi met a frisbee. It's funny watching her try to figure out how to pick it up. She's still figuring out how to do it. Once she finally does get it in her mouth, she tries to walk with it and ends up tripping over it. It is pretty entertaining.
