Update

I feel like we have a lot to post and update everyone on. Hopefully I can get a lot of pictures in here to keep it interesting.

At the beginning of February, we celebrated Lexi's first birthday. We can't believe that she is already a year old! She is soooo small for a Boxer and we couldn't be happier to have her as part of our family.
For her birthday she got a new collar and a new chew toy. The collar is great, but she has already demolished her chew toy. Not even the tennis balls made it past a month and half!

Next, we celebrated Valentine's Day. Eric and I made cheese and chocolate fondue last year and absolutely loved it. We decided to continue with it and make it a new tradition. Unfortunately, we don't have pictures of that. Eric brought home some flowers though and I decided to share them with Lexi so she wouldn't feel left out. She even knew how to sniff them! We were so proud!

Luckily, in February we got a few days without rain and we were able to take Lexi out for walks. On one adventure, she got to meet our neighbors horse. It was quite entertaining to watch because she kept freaking out. She would crouch down low and stare and then just take off (as far as her leash would let her) and then she'd get curious and start to inch closer to sniff the horse and then just take off again. I guess you can't really blame her though. That horse is quite a bit bigger than her.

Lexi has also been learning some new tricks. She has been jumping for a while, on command, and her jumps just keep getting higher and higher. We also have started having her stand on her hind legs. We are still working on getting her to spin, like a ballerina, but she tends to lose her balance. We will have to get that on video, once she has mastered it.

And finally, the pictures you have all been waiting for! The Baby Bump! It stayed tiny for quite a while, but it seems to double in size every week now. Our baby girl seems to be very active and already kicks constantly! I even felt her doing somersaults. She must have figured out that her Momma didn't like that and hasn't done anymore. I keep telling Eric that she is going to be a dancer because she seems to kick the most when music is on, whether it's the radio in the car or when we start singing at church. We have only three months until we get to meet her and we can't wait!
