Saratoga Trip

Back in October, we took a trip out to New York to visit my family.  It was Mia's first time meeting her Grandpa and we had a lot of fun.  I flew out early and was there with Mia for almost two weeks and Eric joined us for a week.  Since I decided to go out early, I had to fly with Mia by myself.  I was a little nervous since it was her first flight.  My worst fear was that she was going to have a blow out and scream the entire time.  My dream was that she would be perfect and just laugh and smile the whole time so the other passengers wouldn't be annoyed.  Well....I got both.  She had a blow out on the first leg right before they turned on the seat belt sign for the remainder of the flight (over an hour), but everyone commented on how cute she was and how they didn't even know there was a baby in the row behind them.  Traveling for the rest of the day with my pants stained was not fun, but it could have been worse!!  We made it though and the rest of the trip was great.

Mia got spoiled lots and lots by her grandparents.

We did a ton of different activities....apple picking...card games...mini-golf...riding the Saratoga Carousel...eating ice cream at Ben & Jerry's...visiting a pumpkin patch...playing with Keri, Jeremy, and Chloe...hiking to see waterfalls...playing at parks...walking around Saratoga...looking at pretty leaves.  Basically, we had a blast!

Eric was sooo excited to play around with his camera and I'm pretty sure he brought the tripod everywhere we went.  I have to say...he is quite the photographer!  Look at how pretty these leaf pictures turned out!  I think photography is a great hobby for him to get into.  I get to play with all of the pretty pictures!

My parents had heard about a fun town called Woodstock in Vermont.  We decided to take a long drive and go explore it.  We visited Sugarbush Farm, where we got to sample cheese and maple syrup.  We also went to another farm and saw them milk cows and found lots of perfect picture spots.
And of course, since we were all together, we took family pictures.  The only one missing is Lexi!  We were sad we couldn't bring her.  She would have had a lot of fun too.  Considering that we had a baby and a dog in the pictures, I think they turned out very well!  Nice job Eric!
