Mia's First Christmas

I'm a little late in posting about Christmas, but that's better than never...right???  This Christmas was so much fun because we had our baby girl to spoil.  It was great doing traditions as a family and bringing Mia along for everything.  We started the Christmas season off with a visit to Eric's Aunt and Uncle's Christmas Tree Farm and Mia helped us pick a tree and chop it down.  As you can see, she was a little skeptical of the whole thing...
Next up, was a visit to see Santa.  One of my favorite co-workers and her husband are very important helpers of Santa and we were able to go visit their house.  We got some cute pictures!  Mia was so distracted by all of the people that I don't know if she even knew she was sitting in Santa's lap.  At least she didn't cry!!

After we decorated the Christmas tree, we had to pose for family pictures for our Christmas cards.  Mia loved the presents and the lights on the tree.  We even were able to include Lexi in the family picture!

Mia got spoiled and got two Christmases her first year.  We wanted to celebrate in Seattle with Lexi before we went out of town, so we decided the make the Saturday before Christmas the day that we would celebrate as a family.  Unfortunately, we lost the pictures of that celebration, but we had a lot of fun!  Lexi got a whole bag full of toys and just went crazy with all of the excitement.  Just like last year, she passed out in the middle of the floor with all of her toys in a circle around her.  Mia had a lot of fun opening her presents too.  She got spoiled by her grandparents and aunt and uncle had a huge pile of toys to add to her toy chest.

Luckily, we were able to go to Arizona to see Eric's family for Christmas this year.  It didn't feel like Christmas because it was 75 degrees everyday, but it was sure nice to get some extra sunshine!  Mia got to meet all of her cousins for the first time and she certainly loved all of the attention she got.  She spent a lot of time playing on the floor with Lydia and Asher!  Lydia even taught her how to sit up!  Eric's Dad was able to come down to Arizona too and the kids got to play at the park all day with him and Paula.

I think the biggest highlight of the trip to Arizona was the fun trip Grandma LuLu planned to the Polar Express.  We got stuck in traffic that added a couple hours to the road trip, but we were able to make the train on time and see all of the kids excitement.  Mia even knew something special was happening and she kept kicking and smiling the entire time.  Santa came and even delivered bells to each of the kids!

Since we were all together, we had to take advantage of the opportunity to take family pictures.  Eric was able to set up the tripod and use his hand remote to get pictures of everyone.  After lots of editing, Eric was finally able to approve of all of the photos.  I think they turned out amazing!  Way to go Hubby!

Mia certainly had a lot of fun playing with her cousins, so hopefully we'll be able to get together again soon!
