Dear Mia,
You are so active now! You started walking at 13 months and you are so fast now. You're not quite running yet, but you can walk super fast now. You keep me and Daddy so busy now. We have had so much fun with you though.
At the Ward 4th of July breakfast, you walked around the church in the parade and smiled and waved at everyone.
We spent a Saturday at Derby Days. We watched a parade and went to the firefighter fundraiser breakfast. You smiled at everyone there too.

A couple weekends ago, we took you to the Science Center and you got to play in the kids zone and see the butterflies at the Butterfly Garden. You had a lot of fun.

You are now obsessed with bubbles! Besides dogs, bubbles are one of the things you get most excited about. You love to hold the wand and watch me and Daddy blow them for you. You say "bubbles" all day and cry whenever we take them away. It's so fun watching your face light up everytime!
You have learned so much in the past month or two. We have been having you watch Baby Signing Times and you are actually able to communicate some stuff with us now. Everytime we start the DVD you get the biggest smile and start dancing to the music that plays while it starts up. We can tell that when you watch it, you are trying so hard to soak everything in. You can sign milk, more, all done, dog, horse, diaper, cracker, ball, eat/food and you can finally blow kissses and clap. You can say mama, dada, daddy, more, dog, baby, cracker, bubbles, and outside. You love going outside with us when we take Lexi out and you just say "outside" over and over again. Whenever you see a dog, whether it is Lexi or a dog you've never seen before you sign and say dog over and over again. You are definitely a dog lover like your mama!!
We are so glad to have you as part of our family. It's so much fun watching you learn how to color and how to stack blocks and do everything else everyday. Thanks for all of your smiles and your cute personality!

We are definitely getting Baby signing time. We kept checking it out from the library, but they were pretty scratched. Time for us to get our own. I should be disciplined enough to use the signs myself . . . but the movie just seems easier. ;) Mia is growing so big, what a cutie!!
