2015 Holidays

November was a fun month.  Mia had fun playing on the horse at Costco and tried really hard to convince me of a place we could put it in our house.  And Callie was able to enjoy her first snow!  The girls were super excited to go out and play and build a snowman.  Then of course they had to come inside for hot chocolate!  There are lots of other cute photos too.

For Thanksgiving, we headed to Arizona again this year.  It's been a fun tradition so far!  We stopped at Auntie Keri and Uncle Jeremy's first.  We played at the park with Blake and walked around the shopping center next to the Cardinal's Stadium.  It was fun seeing the girls play with Blake.

From Keri's we headed to Auntie Nan's house and Eric and Tayler jumped in the freezing cold pool with the kids.  They were all excited until they got in and then everyone was screaming from the coldness.  We ended the outing with the kids sitting in front of heater and drinking hot chocolate.  Arizona was definitely a lot warmer than Utah, but it wasn't quite warm enough for the pool. :)  After that we headed to Grandma LuLu's house.  The girls got to play and play and play with all of their cousins.  They also had a blast jumping at a trampoline place.  Callie got lot of snuggles too!

We had to document Eric's beard!  He joined a Movember challenge at work and had to commit to not shaving for the entire month of November.  I'm pretty sure we were both equally excited for him to shave it at the end of the month! :)

After our Thanksgiving trip, we got to start with all of our Christmas festivities!  First, the girls got to meet Santa at our Ward Breakfast.  He walked in the room and they each  ran up to give him a big hug.  Mia was super excited to give Santa a picture she had colored for him too.  It was cute watching their excitement!

We also went on a fun outing to the North Pole!  It was freezing cold, but the girls still had an awesome time.  They went on a train ride, float ride, sled ride, and saw Frosty and Santa.

December was a fun month too.  Mia had her first dance recital.  They did the Nutcracker.  Mia was part of one scene and her class did a really cute job.  We got more snow and built more snowmen.  We also had Elfie come visit us again.  I finally got my first "Nice" Christmas Tree!  I also found ribbon at Hobby Lobby with different names for Christ written in gold glitter.  I love it!  I feel like I'm officially an adult now that I have nice tree decor!  Callie also got to play with Lexi more.  Lexi is warming up to Callie and I think she likes her.  :)

On Christmas Eve, the girls got to open their matching pjs!

Christmas Day was super fun!  The girls, of course, got spoiled. We tried to keep things simple this year and they still ended up with sooo many presents!  Some of the highlights of gifts from grandparents and from the girls to each other were their first duplo and lego sets, magformers, a family pass to the Thanksgiving Point Museums, books and new board games for toddlers. Santa brought Mia a k'nex set, Ari a wooden pizza set, and Callie a giraffe and elephant.

The girls' main present from Eric and I was their new rooms!  Callie was ready for the crib, which Ari had been using as a toddler bed and Mia needed a twin bed because her legs were too long for her toddler bed, so we got Ari and Mia new twin beds and moved the crib into Callie's room.  I had a lot of fun making decorations for their rooms and Eric stayed up late on Christmas Eve painting Mia and Ari's room.  We'll paint Callie's room later and add vinyl animals that match her bedding.  For now, it still looks pretty cute though!  On Christmas Eve, we had the girls sleep in Callie's room.  They were really excited about it, even though they had to sleep on the floor.  We saved their room viewing for last.  We wrapped a box with both their names on it, with a paper that said, "Go Look In Your Room."  Mia read it all on her own and they ran up there.  They were sooo excited!  I'm glad they loved it as much as I had pictured!

After Christmas, Keri and Jeremy and Blake came to visit us.  Chloe and Lexi got to meet for the first time and had fun running around together.  We took them to the Curiosity Museum and to Temple Square to see the lights.  It was really fun having another opportunity to hang out and have the cousins play together.

We ended the year with a bang!  On New Year's Eve day, we had planned to take the girls skiing, but when we went to get rental gear, we were told that Sundance was so packed, they were sending people away.  :(  It was a huge bummer, but Tayler and Maria saved us, but letting us borrow their sleds.  It was a first time for the girls and they absolutely loved it!  That night we had Tayler and Maria and Lidia and Luca over for fondue and games.
