Dear Mia,
Your second Christmas with us was a blast! Daddy and I were soooo excited to see your reaction on Christmas morning. We picked up a kitchen for you before Thanksgiving and hid it in the office. You never explored far enough to find it and we knew you were going to love it. You definitely surprised us on Christmas. We kept waking up and listening and hoping you had woken up early too, but you ended up sleeping in so late. It was a nice gift for you to give us, but I think our over-excitement to see your reaction to your presents kept us awake anyway. We decided to wait and pull out your kitchen for you to see after you woke up from your nap and we are so glad we did that. Before breakfast, we started with our stockings and you were already overwhelmed at that point. I think the first thing you saw in your stocking was a set of bath toys and you loved them. We probably could have just gotten you those and you would have been set for Christmas! By the time you were done with your stocking, you already looked kind of glazed over. We took a break and ate breakfast and I think you were still overwhelmed until after you woke up from your nap.
You absolutely loved your kitchen! We got you dishes and play food and fruit that you could cut in half and you played with everything for hours. You still love to play with it and it occupies a lot of your time. I think cutting your fruit and making fruit salads is your favorite thing to do with it so far.
Of course we got to spoil Lexi on Christmas too. She was running around all over sniffing everything and playing with her toys. You even helped point out her bag of dog food, which she wagged a ton for. She sure is one spoiled puppy!
XOXO
Mommy
