2015 is already looking like a pretty awesome year. We have already done a ton of fun things this year and we have a lot to look forward to. The biggest news is that we are having another baby girl! She is due mid-June. We definitely have a lot of pink around already, so she'll fit right in! Mia and Ari have felt her kick quite a few times and are always excited to snuggle up to my tummy and talk to her. They think it's fun to poke her over and over to see if they can get her to kick more. It's funny when they sit on my lap or give me a long hug because the baby will kick like crazy, since they're cramping her space. I think they are both going to be awesome big sisters.
The first exciting event of the year was going to car show with Daddy, Grandpa Peyton, Uncle Tayler, Lidia and Luca. They got to sit in lots of cars and have fun playing.
In February, Lexi turned 5! I can't believe that much time has gone by. Not too much has changed with her. She's starting to get grey hair on her muzzle though. Now that she's 35 in dog years, I guess that makes sense! We sure love having her around!
Paula made some darling Valentine's Day outfits for the girls. They loved wearing them to Valentine parties, church and just because! They turned out super cute! Thanks Paula!
We found out that during the winter, the Zoo offers free zoo days. We were able to go to two of them and it was a blast. The girls loved the gorillas, otters, porcupines, elephants, and so many more! We had a cool experience with the gorillas one time. I had pulled the stroller right up to the window, so Ari could see the gorilla walking around. The gorilla walked right up to the stroller and kept looking at Ari, as if trying to figure out what the big stroller was for. It was so cool! Mia kept waving and saying hi to the gorilla.
Usually just brushing hair is a fight everyday. There are lots of tears and there is very little patience. One day, out of the blue, Mia asked for braids, like Princess Anna. She sat so patient while I did her hair. She looked like such a big girl. Of course Ari got jealous and wanted her hair done too. She got a big girl ponytail. They looked darling!
Although we didn't get much snow this year in Utah, the girls did have a few opportunities to make snowmen and snow angels. It only snowed a handful of times and never lasted past the afternoon. Each time they saw it sticking, they would immediately run and get their snow clothes and start bundling up. They had fun chasing each other, chasing Lexi, dancing, building snow balls and snow men, throwing snow at the back door and building snowmen. I'm glad they love the snow as much as me! They also would always request hot chocolate when they came inside. I wonder who started that tradition!
This winter was quite warm, which allowed lots of fun days at the park. We certainly had a lot of fun! We made a Seahawks sign to hang on our garage for the Superbowl game, Ari read lots and lots of books while Mia was at preschool, Ari discovered getting wet in the bathroom sinks, and we snuggled lots and lots.
More fun pictures of painting, dance class, parks, funniness and more snuggling! Mia has been going to dance class on Mondays for a while and the dance teacher said I could send Ari up with her and she could just kind of watch and learn along with the other girls. Ari was sooo excited! The first two times we went, Ari just kept running back and forth between the class and me and yelling, "I dancing! I dancing!" She also insisted that her stuffed elephant come to watch her dance, so he rode along in the diaper bag. She even did a few toe points along with the older girls. :)
Ari turned two! This spring was super warm and sunny and it was a good time to get her a play set for outside. She loved it! Unfortunately, the weather has turned rainy. We're hoping the sun will come back soon, so the girls can play it more!
At the beginning of April, we were able to attend Eric's cousin's wedding. We are so excited for Dave and Kelcey! Drea and I were able to host a Bridal Shower for Kelcey the weekend before and Eric planned a super fun Bachelor party for Dave. Unfortunately, we didn't get very many pictures. Eric planned a paintball event and it sounds like everyone had a blast. Eric had a certain setting pictured in his mind and checked out multiple courses over the prior months and found the perfect one. After the wedding, we used the opportunity of being all dressed up to get some family photos with my Baby Bump!

Mia's preschool class has gone on quite a few field trips this year. One of them was at a place called Wild Wonders and they got to see some cool animals. Mia loved touching and holding any of the animals she was able to. She got to hold a baby turtle, pet and feed a huge rabbit, pet a skunk, which had the stinker taken out (who knew!), pet a lizard and a few other cool animals. Ari got to join in the fun too and loved being able to join Mia for her preschool class!
Mia turned 4 this year and had her first big girl party! We had 14 little girls over for an Ice Cream Party and it was a lot of fun. Mia loved it! She helped me get things ready for it during the week prior and couldn't stop talking about how excited she was and counting down the days. Luckily we had great weather and everything went super smoothly with the help we had from family. We played pin the ice cream scoop on the ice cream cone, ice cream bingo, and colored ice cream pictures. We served lunch with ice cream cone shaped sandwiches, fruit salad and veggies with hummus. Mia helped me make little ice cream cone cake balls and we did an ice cream sundae bar. At the end, all of the girls had fun running around and playing in the backyard. It was fun getting to know Mia's friends better too!
Mia's main birthday present was her first bike! We found a used one about a month earlier and Eric fixed it up and painted it. Mia helped him with some of it, but hadn't seen the bike put all together. It was a fun surprise!
The girls have been having lots of fun over the past couple months. We've been exploring new parks, spending lots of time outside, when it's not raining, working in the garden and Mia has been having fun at different Birthday parties. Ari and Mia have been playing together a lot more lately too. Whether it's painting, playdough, reading books or just running around the house, they always have more fun when they are doing it together. :)
One of the main reasons we moved to Utah was to be closer to family. Paula and Grandpa Peyton got some cute pictures when they came over a couple weekends ago. The girls love being able to see them and their cousins more often too!
