Mia finished her first year of preschool! Her class and the afternoon class did a little program the other night and it was so cute! The kids had been practicing a lot over the past couple weeks and Mia was super excited about it. She definitely knew it was a special event and had a certain outfit she saved for it and everything. She even informed me the day of that her Dad and I needed to keep Ari with us and make sure she didn't go crazy. We're still trying to figure out what she meant by that.
Here is Mia with her teacher, Miss Amy! She has loved learning from her all year. She is super sad she won't be able to see her as much, now that summer break started. At least she'll still see Miss Amy at church sometimes! And she'll be in preschool with her again next year and will get to learn a whole bunch more.
Here is a little video of Mia saying her part for the program. She had it memorized weeks ago! She did a great job!
Throughout the program, the kids all sang a bunch of different songs and did little dances. Mia has been singing this one a lot over the past couple weeks, so I think it's her favorite. She hadn't been doing the dance at home though, so this was cute and funny addition!
At the end of the program, Miss Amy handed each preschooler a diploma and went over some things they said in their interview with her at the end of the year. Mia said loves singing songs at preschool and riding her bike at home. She also wants to be a Mommy when she grows up and hopes to make $5 doing it and in her free time, she wants to color with her kids. Eric turned to me and said, Hint. Hint. Luckily, I had helped her color a thank you card for her teacher that afternoon, so I didn't have to feel guilty. :) Sounds like I should color with her a little more often though!
