Auntie Keri and Grandma JJ came up for a visit at the end of June. We had fun at the zoo, celebrated Keri's birthday and threw Keri a baby shower for her baby boy, who was due in September. It was a fun and super busy weekend!
Our next fun adventure was a trip to Island Park. We stayed with Eric's Aunt's family at a cabin up there and had a blast! Four-wheeling, fishing, games, and lots of hanging out with yummy food!
We love our new little town and Fiesta Days was one of the first festivals we attended. We live within walking distance of where most of the main events take place in town. The girls had fun with all of the different kid activities. Eric got to join in on the slide fun too!
I love that we captured a sweet sister moment between these girls. Even though there is lots of fighting, all of the fun, tender, loving moments help carry us through the day. They sure do love each other!
We have discovered that cherries grow super well in Utah. We found an awesome farm nearby where we can pick all different fruits when they are in season. The girls fell in love with cherries after this trip! We went back for peaches, raspberries and peppers later in the summer too.
This collage captures lots of sweet moments from the summer. Playing with cousins, painting, making messes, feeding ducks, loving (aka torturing) Lexi, exploring parks, meeting princesses, cuddling with Daddy, playing with any toys they can find...the list goes on and on. :)
Mia took her first swim lessons! A week straight of lessons everyday. She loved it! She learned to swim on her tummy and back, blow bubbles in the water, open her eyes underwater, how to jump in and go down water slides.
We had fun at the county fair, just down the street from our house! Mia loved all of the different animals. I was a little creeped out at how comfortable she was with the huge snake, but I'm sure her Daddy was proud!
Thanksgiving Point has some pretty awesome museums. In August, they do discount days and we were able to go explore a few of their fun museums. We went to the Curiosity Museum with the girls' cousins and went back later to the Dinosaur Museum and the Farm.
Our little Mia Bear started Preschool at the end of August. She has loved it! Ari is always sad to see her go and super excited when it's time to pick her up. Whenever Mia grabs her backpack, Ari likes to follow along with hers. Ari is also excited to inspect all of Mia's art projects when she comes home too. Anytime we have an opportunity to help out in Mia's class, Ari is super excited because she gets to go too. Mia has done so many craft projects, learned lots of letters and numbers and a whole bunch of other things. Next year, she will learn reading, writing and math!
Luckily, we were able to slip in a family vacation in September. We went to Bear Lake. It was really pretty! We even found an awesome sandy beach that the girls loved! We did a hike that overlooked the lake and saw some deer up close when we went to check out the boardwalk.
A friend gave us free tickets to a MotoX event. The girls enjoyed it for a little bit, but definitely didn't have as much excitement over it as their Daddy. It was fun watching all of the bikers do jumps and tricks!
