A McMurtrey family reunion was scheduled for the end of June. We were a little worried that we wouldn't make it because Callie's due date was about a week before. We kind of hoped and guessed that she would come early, like her sisters and crossed our fingers that it would work out to go. Luckily, everything did work out and we had a blast! It was great seeing the girls with their cousins and spending time at the beach. LuAnn was nice enough to book a cabin for everyone to stay in, so we all were together in one place. We rode Aunt Jana's four wheelers and enjoyed the lake views, we rode jet skis for a day, rented these fun 6 passenger bikes and cruised through the town with Tayler and Maria's family. The cousins all played at the beach, ate s'mores and played a game of "chubby bunnies." It was super fun and I think we will all look forward to the next reunion in another 5 years.
Since the reunion was in Utah, Grandma LuLu and the rest of the Arizona family, stayed in Utah afterwards, so we could play longer. We spent time with Grandpa Peyton and Paula at the rec center pool, watching movies and playing in their backyard.
We even did a hike up Provo River Canyon and all of the cousins got to splash around in what Grandpa Peyton calls, "Mother Nature's Splash Pad." It was the perfect outing. We'll have to remember this one for next year!
