Right before Callie was born, Mia was able to go to Eric's work for a Bring Your Kid to Work Day. Unfortunately, Ari wasn't old enough to go, so she stayed home with me. Mia got pancakes and chocolate milk for breakfast and even got to watch someone fly a drone up close. Her favorite part of the day though, was getting to a use a laptop that was just like Daddy's. She even says that when she is older, she is going to go to work and use a laptop, like Daddy.

Callie got to meet Grandpa Peyton and Paula, first out of all her grandparents. I don't think I've ever seen Grandpa Peyton smile that big before! I'm glad we caught a picture of it!
Since Callie was born right at the end of the month of May, Daddy had some big work deadlines coming up in early June. His boss was getting a little worried when Daddy said he had to take time off right then. Luckily, Grandma JJ was able to come right away to help us and Daddy was able to work hard to get everything done before the deadlines. His boss was pretty excited when he found out she was able to get here that soon. Grandma JJ saved us and helped a ton! We just hung out at the house the first week she was here. Mia and Ari were a little stir crazy and needed to get out, so we planned some fun stuff for the next week. We spent a day at the Curiosity Museum, which was a blast! We also saw Cinderella at the theater and played at the park. We even went to visit Daddy at work one day for lunch. I think we wore Grandma JJ out, but we couldn't have done it without her! Thanks for coming to help us!
After Daddy got all of his work done for those deadlines, he got to take a week off and hang out with the girlies. We were really excited for him to actually be able to take that time off. When I had Mia he didn't have much vacation time Right after I had Ari, he started a new job. They gave 2 weeks of paid paternity leave, but he finished up at his old job right after I had her and then started the new one and didn't want to take time off right away. We used it later on, but he missed out on being home with a newborn. This was the first time he had paternity leave and got to hang out with the new baby. The girls were excited to have him around to take them on fun outings and Mommy was excited to stay home and snuggle with Callie. They went to the park a lot and tested out a bike trailer we had gotten recently. It was well used, but the girls loved it! Mia even got to pull Ari in it, while riding her trike!
Another fun adventure we went on during Daddy's time off, was the Tracy Aviary. It was super cool. We got in for free with our Pass of All Passes. We got to feed tropical birds, right out of our hands and went on a tour where they talked about the different birds that were there. It was like a zoo, but only for birds. It was a fun day!
